Why QuickCasa gives these tools away
QuickCasa makes AI leasing software for property managers and leasing teams. Along the way we build smaller tools for simple jobs, and we publish them as open source.
Part 1 Why we build these
Some jobs are simple enough that they shouldn't need an account, a subscription or a sales call. When we build a tool for one of them, we give it away.
An inspection checklist, a utility bill split and a pet form are good examples. Each one runs in your browser and does its job without signing up for anything.
Some of the code we write for our own product turns out to be useful on its own, too. When it is, we clean it up and release it here.
We keep the list short so we can look after what's on it.
Part 2 How they work
- 2.1No sign-up
- Nothing here asks for an account, and nothing depends on a QuickCasa server.
- 2.2Your data stays with you
- The web apps run in your browser and keep what you enter on your device. Your notes, photos and signatures aren't uploaded anywhere.
- 2.3Tested on every change
- Every project has automated tests, and they run on every pull request.
- 2.4Limits written down
- The READMEs list what the projects don't do, from the fonts the PDFs can print to GitHub running scheduled checks late.
Part 3 Licences
- 3.1MIT
- Used for libraries and small tools. You can use, copy, change and sell them, including inside commercial products, as long as you keep the copyright and licence notice.
- Read the MIT licence
- 3.2AGPL-3.0
- Used for full apps, such as the rental inspection app. You can run, study, change and share them freely. If you change one and let other people use your changed version over a network, you have to offer them its source code under the same licence.
- Read the GNU AGPL v3.0
- 3.3Which one applies
- Each project page lists its licence, and the LICENSE file in its repository is the final word.
Part 4 Who we are
QuickCasa is an AI leasing platform for property managers and leasing teams. It answers, qualifies and converts rental leads across phone, SMS, email, web chat, WhatsApp and social media. We're based in Kitchener, Ontario.
These projects are separate from the QuickCasa product. You don't need to be a customer to use them.
